Registration Impact Portal (RIP) 101: How to Audit
Auditing your dealerships can seem like a daunting and exhausting task. But it doesn’t have to be! The Registration Impact Portal (RIP) monitors everything in your dealership for you in real-time. When it comes to auditing within your title department, RIP makes it easier than ever to reconcile the white slip against the Retail Purchase Agreement and make sure all of the data is correct. Our job isn’t complete when we receive the plates, but we take it one step further to make sure what was collected from your customer matches the white slip. What is the impact if these two don’t match up? Do you know what items should be audited on every deal? Through our auditing process, we have been able to save our dealers countless fees. Let’s dig into some of our most used features within RIP and how they can assist you in auditing your deals.
The Inquiry Board
Your Inquiry Board keeps track of everything that must be done, it is your daily to-do list while holding the entire history of the deal. It keeps track of all the notes and eliminates the need for sticky notes on deal jackets and emails going back and forth between your team. Every conversation piece for the deal is saved within RIP and saved within the VIN. So, if anything happens and they need to look up the vehicle’s history, everything is all in one place. This is the best place to find out about issues holding up a deal. Lastly, this tab gives you the ability to download white slips, title documents, deal documents, and reports.
Registration Requests
At The Title Girl, we tell the story of a registration request based on a status. We will send you our recommended list of statuses, but our consulting team can also customize statuses based on your dealership's needs and workflow. For any status, we can pull a report to show, for instance, how many deals have been “sent to the county”, and how many deals are “closed.” If your dealership has more than one location, you can filter by location. RIP even has a bulk download for white slips available in case of a sales tax audit from the OCCC. No need to search through paper deal jackets!
